About Leaves from my Musings

Leaves from my Musings is offshoot to my longtime writing blog Inspired Pen Writing (now close) that included tips & ideas about online content writing, creative writing, freelance writing, how to make the internet work for the writer, a day in the life of a writer, really, just about anything related to writing, mainly geared for the aspiring writer.

I find Natalie Goldberg's "Living Twice" taken from her famous book Writing Down the Bones defining. She writes and I quote: "Writers live twice. They go along with their regular life, are as fast as anyone in the grocery store, crossing the street... But there's another part of them that they have been training. The one that lives everything a second time. That sits down and sees their life again and goes over it."

And Virginia Woolf's advice to writers keep coming back in one sweep: "Summon all your courage, exert all your vigilance, invoke all the gifts that Nature has been induced to bestow. Then let your rhythmical sense wind itself in and out among men and women, omnibuses, sparrows - whatever come along the street - until it has strung them together in one harmonious whole."

Today, I'm self-actualised. I share my writings mainly online. I write from my passions and work at it everyday, unless personal reasons like health or other interests prevail. In the past I created numerous websites according to niches I was passionate about. Came the time I could no longer cope, closed many of them, retaining just a few, with Inspired Pen Web my flagship. I update when them when I can, wholeheartedly share them to readers with common interest. It's good, no stresses from deadlines, happy to share my acquired knowledge from my interests.

Leaves from my Musings is, in a way, a diary containing posts (I call leaves) when I'm able to capture and put to pen my random thoughts, soothing music I'm listening to, or quotes that inspire, uplift, comfort, and heal. It provides refuge from the world that seems no longer mine. I share to friends some aspects of me - in hope that they'll understand my thought process, beliefs, moods, joys and pains, fears, strengths and weaknesses; for my friends to recognise the sharpness of my mind through my passions, wisdom and knowledge when my human strength is at its height... and that in the winter of my life, culminated in peaceful desire to be understood and not to be judged harshly, when my breath becomes air.

Why I'm doing it?  It's so therapeutic! Liberating.
